GPS Field locations

       Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
Has every one checked their GPS coordinates with the Maac website. There seems to be a problem with some of the fields not being where they are supposed to be.

coordinates are submitted by the clubs when they fill out their paperwork. Any problem should be reported to the appropriate ZD, he can fix them! Also, another feature has been recently implemented on the MAAC site. Alternate fields can now be viewed. Clubs with more than one flying field can share the location with all, great addition!

More accurate coordinates can be found using the MAAC Geocoder here: http://www.maac.ca/clubs/geocoder.php

I checked ours (Aurora) - its OK. The GPS location points the the street entrance, not the actual field.
