The retracts are one of the things that put me off the h9. over on rcu there are several, mainly centering on those.

After all, an arf WITH retracts that costs, what $330? Hmmm.

With 450 posts, this thread might help:

H 9 Corsair.....

I just completed the kit and the retracts themselves look and work ok. The problem with the gear is the linages that operate them. Each gear is operated through 2 bell cranks that are just a piece of aluminum with a bolt through the center and no bushing. Each wire rod is a "Z" bend attached to the crank. Because of all the slop in the linkage the retract servo with the 1" arm spacing does not travel far enough to lock the gear up and down. When you extend the servo holes to 1.5" then the arm of the servo flexes and the servo can barely cycle the gear.

Solution. Replace the aluminum (cheap) bell crank with a good nylon one or aluminum one with a bushing/bearing. Second, attach each rod to the bell crank with a riveted on "easy connector". Lastly but not necessary..just a good idea, replace the wheels supplied with the kit (the wheels supplied are good but heavy and hard for the retract servo to swing) with warbird style lite weight foam tires and you will have it beat.
FYI.
