Bumped into a RC Giant last night!
Here I am out with the mother-n-law and wife in a small resturant in Fonthill-Ont and I start telling her about my RC stuff - When a nice guy in the booth behind us starting asking questions about RC stuff in general around here. Not thinking much about it we both went on till I was about to leave when he said Merry Christmas & a happy New Year and I proceeded to give him my Email address and then he gave me his Card
 ** Nick Ziroli Sr *Iam still in shock today.

It's funny how hard it is to recognize people when they are not in their usual situation. I'll bet that if you had run into him at the Joe Noll or Top Gun you would have recognized him immediately! What was he doing up in Ontario?

We were holding our SOMA (Southern Ontario Model Airshow) event last August, when I, as announcer recognized Nick in the spectators. I introduced him to the rest of the spectators and handed him the microphone for a little bit. He was visiting his girl friend in Font Hill, and going to a wedding later in the day. I have met Nick at Top Gun several times when I have been there. A very friendly person. You never know when one of the 'oldies' will show up, or where.

The conversation was fairly short - Mostly he had visited the area before and had actually been out to the Stoney Creek club in past - Yes he was with his Girlfriend and was leaving for Floriday this morning.
Great to see a Giant like Mr Ziroli up hear in Ontario - I think if we could get him out with his models flying with events like the KW scale or IMAA in Kingston for the summer 2012 Now that would be amazing!
