I use a piece of thin cardboard from an rc parts package(usually associated..lol).

I place the cardboard between the spur and bell, the jam them together. once everything is tightened, pull out the cardboard. Your mesh shouldbe perfect.

spur gears

mesh the 2 gears just until you can feel the slightest "click" between the two of them . I have had many rc trucks/cars/buggies and with this methode I have NEVER stripped a spur gear!!

i've got the mesh set as good as i can get it. it's normal for the CB to be spinning more than the spur gear right? it seems like for everyone 1 time the spur spins the CB spins 2-3 times. also how do i know when the slipper is set properly? i've tried doing what the manual says but when i go to loosen 1/2 a turn it doenst seem to do anything?? i've loosened it more than that as well and i almost loosened the nut right off, please help.

the spur and clutchbell are diffent diameter that's why you get the difference in the numper of rotations... it will always be that way...

you want the hears to mesh together so that there is almost no play between the gears but still not too tight that it doesn't spin freely
