New IMAC Chapter 401 Rep

Gentlemen,

As some of you know, about 3 weeks ago I made the decision to step down as your IMAC Chapter 401 ( Ontario) Representative.

At the time I turned the reins over to your Canadian Scale Aerobatic chairman, Mike Clemmens, as he too was one of the founding members of Chapter 401.

I also suggested the "vote" process for a new Rep be carried out with nominations and a vote ( by you, the Ontario IMAC / Scale Aerobatic community) for a new Chapter Rep, and recommended that that Mike see this process through.

I don't know if any correspondence or discussion on the matter has been initiated, so I thought I would throw it out here to see how this process is transpiring.

Any nominees yet?

Bob

Yes you voted for Bob Randy and I think many of us would like to see Bob come back to be the Rep but as yet Bob hasn't indicated that he will take it back. So your vote is of little consequence if Bob will not return.

What do you say Bob? The season is moving fast upon us and it would be a good thing to know who our rep is going to be. Come on Bob, we want you back!

It seems that Bob has "retired" from the position, and has handed it over to Mike Clemmens, who has accepted the position.
I see no indication that Bob wants the position back, or, that Mike is willing to give it up.
Is there a protocol for an election for Chapter Rep?
Is there any reason that Mike should not continue in this position for the time being?
Is there someone else that has decided to throw there hat in the ring?

I don't see any problem with Mike continuing in the postion, as he has taken it on willingly!

No prejudice intended in this post, just curious why and how we need an election.
How is it done in the U.S.?
Is there a procedure for this?
