Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
The Libelle looks nice,Thanks Bob. I wish micheal would have been putting a little more power behind his launch.
Finally started getting started on my ts dlg. Tail surfaces are attached using the tlar method. Now I can get going on the wings. Ravens are starting to gather in large groups in the city and almost every day can be spotted in large groups ridge soaring in the valley or along the roof lines of some of the larger buildings. Really gets me antsy for the summer.

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Tails look good, shouldn't take too long to finish off the rest of the build. Did you get that JR radio you were checking out?
Like you, I am awaiting arrival of Spring to get sloping and DLG tossing. Hopefully, the winds will be more cooperative this year. |

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Santa delivered the new xg8 as promised and also gave me a new case to carry my transmitters in.

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Been picking away at another DLG assembly, still waiting for a set of wing servos to show up.
Tried a new method of doing live hinges, different from the way I did things in my build video. Turns out, I much prefer to do it this way... Easier to do and the results are much nicer, this is now my SOP for live hinging. |

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Are you using the abrasive disk to clean up the hinge area Bob?

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Right David... disk is used to cut the hinge trough. Takes a little more time to do but the results are worth it, very clean hinge line... can post more photos of of the completed hinge if you are interested. Hope my servos show up one of these days.

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread
Hi Chad. You can contact Jeff directly thru this forum. He is "takeoffeh". If you send him a pm, he will get back to you fairly quickly. I don't know if I have his actual email address. He is also on the DLG forum on rcgroups where he calls himself dlgjunkyard. He makes great dlg's and is just up the road in Cambridge.
