Here's a crappy video I took with my still digital camera.

Probably not the best position to film from, but oh well. I was trying to track Steve's electric RC8 most of the time...

Sorry for the bad quality, I'm a noob at encoding hehe. >.<

Thanks for the video shurcooL it helped me find out exactly how long that battery pack lasts during racing conditions.

19:00 minutes (5 min warmup + 14 min race time) - First Battery
00:35 seconds - Pit Stop

The pit stop can be improved by using velcro instead of body clips and more pit-practice.

I can drop a tooth on the pinion and get a more efficient gearing.

I may also run 5 minutes of the warm up and then do a battery swap just to be on the safe side.

Thank you again to Hardcore and the nitro racers for letting me experiment with electric 8th scale. I had a great time and look forward to the next.

No problem. Glad it was useful. =)

Another thing to note is that since your car dumped just a little bit away from the lap counter, and when the battery was swapped, the car resumed from the pits, effectively just a little past the lap counter. So one nearly full lap wasn't counted because of that. I guess this makes it all that much more important to pit before your battery dumps. :P

Btw, do you remember now what Lipo cut off setting you've used? Because that performance drop was quite severe. Is the battery ok now?

Speaking of that, would you mind taking a look at my post here for you please.

Good idea. You can let your pit man top off the battery for you during those 15 mins, that way you'll still only need 2 batteries in total. I wonder if 15 mins is enough to fully refill it though...

Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience with us as I'm finding it extremely helpful for my future conversion.
