The only milling done is for the CF tubes and some of the plywood plates. I forgot to mention that I use one 5s 5000mA cell

It weighs 4lbs 10oz AUW, perfect combination, you can certainly use less power if you don't need 3D.

How do you balance such a big battery on the airplane? I think I would have went with two 3S batteries, one on each side of the fuselage.
Almost 5lbs??? Electronic including the heavy motor probably should not be much more than 1-1.5lbs... That sound heavy. I'm sure your wife is playing a trick on you, and played with your scale so you stop eating sooo much!
