Graham, could you try using EPA's to get the throttle response you are looking for?

Re: Expo on Throttle Channel

I am in need of a new TX and hoped I could get one that would do this. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I just do not want to get a high end radio because of this. My flying does not warrant the expense.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Re: Expo on Throttle Channel

My JR X9303 has the throttle curve in both plane and heli mode. you can also set the curves in 3 modes like dual rates. I am sure any good computer radio should have this feature, just look at the features when choosing. I say go JR (hint hint). As for the 2 second delay on my throttle servo, It just sloooows down the servo, I only have it set to slow when I close the throttle. I have had many flame outs do to chopping it to idle. I guess I should have read the post again, sorry. Throttle curve is what your after.

Re: Expo on Throttle Channel

Will look at the JR thanks. EPA's, I have had a brain cramp, do not know what that is.

Re: Expo on Throttle Channel

epa = end point adjustments, otherwise known as just endpoints or limits.

Re: Expo on Throttle Channel

Graham;

I use a Spektrum DX7. I had to switch to heli mode to set up a throttle curve on this radio, but it works.

Downside: you lose a couple mixes on Heli moda vs airplane mode... if you have more than 3 channel mixes this wont work with the dx7

Re: Expo on Throttle Channel

BTW; The throttle curve function works really good vs. expo...

I set up my 3w75 to have a perfectly linear throttle curve and it really makes a difference flying 3d

Graham
Have you looked at the Airtronice SD-10 radio system ; for the price you can have your cake and eat it to. Check out RC Canada Airtronics advertizer ; great pricing . Just got mine from him 2 days ago. A lot of the other manufacturers seem to have a lot of issues . Check it out
