not this summer, but ive wrecked my T-15 because of the stupid Motor-Saver air filter. the filter element shriveled up allowing tonnes of dust (i was rallying) into then engine. $70 later, its got a new piston & sleeve and sits on my shelf. Also, hopefully sending it back to HPI soon is my HPI S-25. i stepped on the throttle from about 5 mph and the engine died. i opened it up to find that the crank shaft snapped and something unknown shaved down the side of the con-rod . i never understood why.

(yay !!! post # 500 for me !!! )

i wore out an OS 30, and a sts team 21, they were both just wore out piston and sleeve, blew up my LSK and my STS 28, both blew the bearings, the LSK was on its 2nd season thgouh, so it didn't owe me anything

and the OS, the STS 21, and the LSK all blew at Belleville, plus my radio died that weekend, that was a fun race

Well I blew one RG (piston/sleeve worn out and bearings were on their way anyway), and that's about it, but it was the first engine I EVER had that got to life it's life sans dirt, although ironicly my RG i run now has gotten dirt in it twice and runs better lol

I found out that rossi's don't like fuel that contain 25% dirt, sprucewood dirt to be specific! You never know till you try, after all aluminum comes from mined minerals (dirt). LOL

Dave I don't think you were the only that tried that this year. I don't think anyone was successful with that test. If anyone has been. Please post it with pictures.
