Hi Len and others,

For accomodation, I recommend these two in Bonnyville:

- Neighbourhood Inn, 1-800-229-5390 or 780-826-3300, http://www.neighbourhoodinn.com/
- Western Budget Motel, 780-812-2131, http://www.westernbudgetmotel.com/contactmotels/

There are others in Cold Lake where I live, and that's where the pubs are:

Lakeland Inn (594-3311) Highway 28 http://www.lakelandinn.com/
Best Western Cold Lake Inn (594-488 4815-52 St.
Western Budget Motel (594-2130) Highway 28
Frontier Motel (639-3030) 1002 - 8 Avenue
Imperial Motor Inn (594-7133) Highway 28

For those with wives/families coming, these B&Bs are perhaps more appealing being on the lake:

- Harbour House Bed & Breakfast (639-2337) 615 Lakeshore Drive http://www.cantravel.ca/harbour.html
- Lakeshore Inn (toll free: 1-866-639-0003, local: 639-0000) 802 Lakeshore Drive www.lakeshore-inn.com
- Bloom n' Breakfast Inn (639-4730) 607 Lakeshore Drive Toll Free at 1-877-307-8740 www.bloomnbreakfast.com

I've already arranged great weather like we had last year. Check out the pics of the flying site. Runway is 5000+ ft and 75 ft wide. All jets welcome. Test flying on the Friday afternoon and evening. We had a great turn out last year and anticipate more this year. Hope you all can come - let me know on this site.
I am interested in making the trip this year. Give me some directions as to where the airport is North of Edmonton. Can I park the RV close to the flying site or do I have to go to an RV park?
Looks like fun.

there was one fellow that camped right by the event area on the airport property last year. I plan to do the same this year unless they tell us we can't. (I doubt that it will be a problem).

Last year Bart and Wayne had 'upgraded' camping facilities by the lake, maybe this year they'll coming slumming with us at the airport...?...

Thanks. I haven't been that far North so it should be a real treat. I found some directions to Bonneyville East of Edmonton and then North on Provincial 41. Local directions to the airport would be appreciated.

Roy, the airport is very easy to find, the highway runs right through the middle of Bonnyville and as you enter from the west you will see the 'airport' sign about 1/3 of the way through town, approx. 1 mile north at that point and there you are.....Ron

Ron

Thanks, look forward to a great weekend. I broke out the trip planner and that's all I needed to complete the planning. See you in July.
