There are all kinds out there but I see a lot of twisted hobbies models at our indoor venues

I'd recommend Twisted Hobbies. I recently received an order for 2 of their lite Laser models along with all of the accessories, power packs and batteries. They made a mistake in packing and only shipped one of the airplanes. I sent an email with some pictures of the package and by the next morning I had an email with an apology and confirmation that they were immediately shipping out the missing plane. Great customer service👍🏼👍🏼

It boils down to what you're looking for and your skill level.

If you are a new pilot and/or new to indoor then I'd recommend sticking with EPP foam (eg. Twisted / WMPF / RA Cores / Wattaplane). EPP is spongy and resilient and using either Foam-Tac or Welders glue you can mend any breaks / tears (no joke) as if they never happened and with little if any weight gain.

Stick to planes that _you_ can fly SLOW and remember throttle is a control - use it sparingly . Also, remember to turn! Heh heh.... and rudder can be your friend indoors.

So, lots of places to choose from. Twisted's planes are incredible flyers, but pricey for sure. West Michigan Park Flyers planes are arguably my second favourite, but only because they (and nobody else) can't get their hands on Twisted's manufacturing process - Twisted's EPP is a compressed & heated type deal making the EPP more rigid and precise, yet still flexible and they ink using UV (or similar) ink. WMPF does do great airbrushing jobs - or you can paint your own to taste.

If you want something the flies relatively slow, can do aerobatics and is durable (constructed with EPP) get a RC Factory / Twisted Hobbys Clik NG.

I purchase mine from two different Canadian sellers, Icare (http://www.icare-icarus.com/) and Buy RC Canada (http://www.buyrc.ca/).

It's not a difficult build, just a little tricky because the foam is thin and flexible.

Mine currently weighs 135g / 4.76oz. It's been attacked a few times, suffered a few pilot errors but still flies.

I've been flying mine since January 8, 2015. I even purchased a second one to have as a backup. I did have to replace my aileron servo earlier this year. To date I have made over 2500 4 minute flights with it. I fly indoors all year, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, also on Fridays in October, November, December, January, February, March and April. The smallest venue is 75'-8" x 42'-8" with a 20' ceiling.

If you decide on Hobbyking for the EPP plane, before you buy post a link to the plane here that you are interested in. The reason I say that is that Hobbyking carries some EPP planes that are really meant for outdoor or LARGE venue use that will not be a good choice.

The Reaktor is a fun plane, but it needs to fly pretty fast/agressively - walls come up fast with it

Something like the Matrix above which are targeted as 'F3P' are generally meant to fly nice and slow - basically indoor pattern planes.

My last comment would be to go visit your indoor venue or talk to guys flying there already. You could get an idea of what they have found successful at _that_ venue.
