Regarding the one way valve: I had it sitting around so I thought I'd throw it on.
Regarding the prop: I think I had intended to go 11x6 but must have bought a 12x6 by mistake and never looked at it before I installed it, I hope to make some changes wednesday or thursday. Thanks for the input.

Derek,
Where exactly did you place it? In the exhaust to tank line, or in the fuel running to the carb?

Re: OS 46 Help.

It is in the fuel line running from the tank to the carb.

It may be limiting the fuel - as it takes some effort to pull fuel through depending upon the brand of 1 way valve.

ANyhow, it is unnecessary and I would remove that as well.

Sitting around? Throw it in? Into the dumpster, please. AJC is correct - all that will do for your engine set up is screw things up. Back onto the shelf or into the dumpster with it.

Same problem occurs when people put them into the exhaust pressure line and too much pressure builds up, which can't be released. Screws things up.

As for the prop, not good enough to guess. You must know what you've got. Same goes for your servos (torque rating), RX battery (number and type of cells of cells, capacity, state of charge) etc. Guessing is not good enough. Leads to problems, accidents and failures - all of which are preventable. If you knew about the plane I lost in Lake Ontario, where I watched the debris slowly float off to Rochester, you'd understand.

AJC is correct on the prop too. Too much prop with a 12-6 on an OS 46.

Re: OS 46 Help.

I have a Os .46 related question.

What prop would you recommend for an OS .46 FX to be used on a hanger 9 Twist? I had it running an 11x7.5 on a Something extra and it moved the plane pretty quick but lacked thrust at low speed.

Try an APC 12.25 x 3.75 or an APC 12 x 4. Should be what you are looking for.
