I would never say that the email addy's be public however I would doubt the MAAC constitution bylaws or whatever says that the MAAC email lists could or should be used to solicit votes or proxy forms by sending emails asking you to send them to a specific person, again the dictation continues. The email was a desperate attempt to gain a minority strong enough to void the efforts of the majority, wake up and smell the roses people your dictator is smarter than you think.

Considering that spammers pay big money for mailing lists of real accounts, this is protecting your privacy, following MAAC guidelines, and is not a conspiracy.

Also, the use of the mailing list for a zone is available to the Zone Director to use for Zone business. Informing people about the zone meeting is ZONE BUSINESS.

The funny thing is, I have gotten every email and reminder for the up coming meetings except this last one.
It was forwarded to me by a friend.

Why is that ?

The other funny thing is, it isn't mentioned in that email that I am running for Deputy Zone Director.
Paperwork was filed as per Bylaws.

You think he should be announcing all candidates.
Maybe there is someone else nobody knows about.

Also, where is the meeting Agenda ? What are the issues that are to be discussed and voted on that are to be taken to the AGM ????

I am guessing that someone has complained to the MAAC President about the improper use of members email addresses to solicit votes rather than to just distribute information.

There has to be some guideline/rule in the MAAC bylaws about the use of members email address by executives, directors and or staff about the use of email addresses. I think it may have something to do with The Privacy Act. If I was in your Zone, I would object to MAAC about the improper use of my email address.

Put all this stuff in writing guys to the appropriate authorities.

This is clear discrimination coming from the ZD towards a member of MAAC who is also running for the position of Deputy-ZD. This position is open to all members of Zone-L and the names of all members running for the position must be posted, this is why Brad registered more than thirty days in advance of the AZM as required by MAAC. Mr. Murray is using his position to promote one individual, this is a clear conflict of interest by a ZD.

Just received my fourth e-mail from Clair asking that I sign a proxy for his choice of Deputy Zone Director.

Watching these shenanigans from the chairside I would assume that the MAAC execs would take note of all the incidents noted here and take some action? They DO now have that power. Good luck to the Zone.

I am the President of a Club in Zone L. I have received no reminder emails from Clair about the Zone Meeting.

My belief (and I may be wrong) is that our current Zone Director is targeting his emails, and not contacting all clubs in the Zone.

Is this discrimination? Or abuse?
