You're right but I think the difference is only 6 grams, the HK is 19 grams and the Axi is a little over 25 grams. It's certainly a good point, considering that people are using CA instead of hot glue for a couple grams difference, it all counts.

Got started on the Axis foamie from Gastons Foam Star, I'm using the Glue I picked up from Toledo called Foam Tac. Its' much like contact cement and you can make hinges from it by applying it to both surfaces, I smear it on where I put the blenderm tape. It gives the tape a good tackie surface to stick to.

I added a carbon fiber strip to the ele.

Only thing I don't like you would have to wait 24 hours to continue working on it. I like to carry on.
Thats only when using it to make hinges, gluing pieces together is the same as contact cement.

I just watched a video on how to make hinges with Foam Tac glue and the guy says that it's rock steady after 1 hour but he lets it sit overnight, here's the video

I just removed the tape from my hinges and used that glue, I'll let you know if how it worked later today after our gym session. I'm bringing tape, just in case.

This is similar to how one can use hot melt glue to do hinges. The plus on this one is that with hot melt you have about 3 or 4 seconds to get it right and no adjustments (or cumbersome ones anyway) after it's cooled.

I like it... darn, should have bought some in Toledo .

Problem with that is if you fly in the cold they get very stiff, another reason I prefer tape.

Yeah... I've only used the hotglue method indoors. It's not ideal unless you get the hotglue _really_ thin, but then I've had some separate on me too. So I'm not advocating it necessarily, just saying I like this foam tack glue idea better.

Looking like a plane, I'm just taping the motor on with blenderm and also tac glue.
And don't need the snap ring on the back so less weight (makes this maneuver possible.)
