Dirty receiver

Hey guys, i was at a race, and during my main, my power was cutting out, every once in a while for a few seconds.

I dont know what it was, but i just opened my receiver and it is D-I-R-T-Y!!. Sand was just falling out out places.

Could my power outages been because of a dirty rx?

Let me know if you have any other ideas why.

if it matters, its an XS3 standard

That happens to me when I go through puddles and stuff. What I do is disconnect everything from the receiver, open it up and clean the circuit with rubbing alcohol (commonly labeled as isopropyl alcohol). Let it dry then reconnect everything and it should work like new.
BTW make sure the receiver is disconnected from the power source while cleaning it. Reconnect it when it's dry. Isopropyl Alcohol should be avalible at any drug store.

Edit's gone so, just so you know I most likely is the dirt that is causing your receiver to not work

I don't know if you saw my thread about my glitching spektrum reciever, but that was caused by dirt, so that's probibly the problem. I use WD-40 and an air compressor (LIGHTLY SO IT DOESN"T BLOW IT APART) or a can of electronics cleaner to clean them, it fixed the problem right up
