DU_BRO fuel tank wuestion

Hi guys,
I have a dubro fuel tank that had two clunks in it....one attached and one was lying in the tank with silico tube on it...not connected.
How do the three brass fittings work and what way should I have them hooked up?
I know one is for filling, one is for back pressure and one is for the needle.
What place should the curved brass tube go?
Hmm.....
The two clunks confused me!

The curved pipe pints "up" in the tank, and is the vent line (to the muffler nipple.
The other lines are for the clunks, one to the carbeurettor, and the other is a fill/empty clunk. The idea is that you don;t have to have any connections between the tank and the engine on either the main clunk, or the vent line. you fill the tank through the second clunk, and when you are done flying, you drain it from that clunk as well...

DU_BRO fuel tank wuestion

Thanks for the great info...you learn something everyday!
So you know how the fuel tank is longer on one side(looking from the side it has sort of an L shape) does the longer side go on the bottom or top?
Stupid question.....I know!!!

Do yourself a favour and turf it. I have never seen this tank arrangement work reliablely. The klunk lines never seem to stay on or they get tangled in the tank, or the lines get mixed up. I'm a strong believer in the KISS principal - 1 line to the tank and 1 line to the muffler, thats it......... especially for newbies. If you have to put a fill line on because you can't get access to the pressure line than just install a Tee fitting in and fill from there. Dubro fuel tanks are cheap and replacing the tank will cut down on frustation when you get to the field.

I'm sure guys here will be giving me crap for the advice I'm giving about turfing the tank but usually these are the same guys that have lots of time to fool with stuff and make it work.

When I go to the flying field I want to fly not play with fuel tanks.

I have used 2 clunks in tanks for 20 years with great success. All systems have merit and depend on your needs.

I've used both systems and the dual clunk one works better. I've had T fittings blow off, and I have had them leak air - both with messy consequences.

There are several plumbing options available, use the one that suits you...
