Building an ATG L600 X4 Quad
Ok so it came ,was looking for a bumble Bee and this was the closest thing to it without breaking the bank. in the mail today Its Carbon fibre ,well all but the landing gear . A very well designed kit especially for the price. $78.usd inc shipping . The first pic shows the box almost overflowing, then I join some pieces together . The pic shows how motor mounts can be twisted and out of alignment,Then shows how they designed it with holes in body that line up to brackets on arms that allow arms to be realigned and then tightened.Last one shows a distribution board mounted on installed mounting hardware.Need to look for an online manual as the one that came with it might as well not came.

Re: Building an ATG L600 X4 Quad
Be careful, I've read the landing gear on that thing is extremely breakable.

Re: Building an ATG L600 X4 Quad
Thanks for the pics, hifly2104. I can't wait to see more. This may even save me driving to your place to see it until it is ready for us to setup the Naza :P
The landing gear does scare me a bit too. But it you wrap it with a pool noodle like you did on your X600 (non spider) quad, I would think that it would be fine. I just found this guy with the hex version of this same frame using a Naza. Gives you a bit of an idea what to expect. Looks good to me.

Re: Building an ATG L600 X4 Quad
Well here are some pics of Quad with motors on . A couple of small pieces still need to be added . Wish I knew where the battery went and what the real purpose of those two arms are with the plate on it. Oh the plate is one small piece I haven't put on yet.
So what do you think of the second Quad I really like it. Its made of aluminium and very well at that. The landing gear is quite unique and it is Carbon fibre. Now I weighed the two helis as they are in the picture and the carbon fibre one is .74kg. The other all aluminium one is .96kg . For how I will fly it no big difference in weight One flies X the other+

Re: Building an ATG L600 X4 Quad
The aluminium one is the Turnigy H.A.L., if anyone was wondering.
You should change the HAL to an "X" configuration. The tubes at the bottom of the L600 are where you mount the extra reqtangular plate, and that is where the battery is mounted to. It is so that you can also mount a camera to the tubes and move the battery to get the center of gravity perfect. I can find you pictures of this later if you want.

Re: Building an ATG L600 X4 Quad
On this thread on DIY Drones, this guy said you can mount the legs for an "x" as it is.
http://diydrones.com/profiles/blog/s...ource=activity Of the two frames I like the carbon fiber one better.
