Re: e-flite problem

sounds like wrong timing on the speed controller. try high timing assuming the controller timing can be changed.

Re: e-flite problem

I'm going to say timing and/or bad solder connection on one of the motor/esc wires. Probably timing, though.

Something aint right there...

Hard to analyse the root cause with what little info you gave us.

Timing, connections, prop size, even the battery itself would be suspect.

What are you using to measure your wattage?

If it is pulsing, it's not likely the battery or prop size. Bad battery would likely just cut off or run very slowly. Over propping would overheat either the motor, ESC or battery, or all of the above. Pulsing would indicate bad signal to the motor from the ESC or timing is too low. I've had both conditions happen to my setups and both times it resulted in a pulsing of the motor.

That may not be the cause, but I've experienced what he's stating.

True, but either way, a little more info would be helpful. Timing would be my #1 suspect, but as usual, when you dont have enought data, its all speculation.

Feedback from jimmy weightman would help all in the community- we'll just have to wait and see what else comes up (or what he does to solve the problem)
Cheers
