I'm in the process of rebuilding a Picco 45. I've found several things that I've never seen before in a RC engine. This engine has wore out the upper connecting rod brass bushing. I've only ever seen the lower bushings wear out, never the upper. And I've usually found that the rear bearing was bad and wore the next weakest point which is the lower brass connecting rod bushing. The cylinder is the thickest I've even seen on a 45 sized engine. And the crank shaft counter balance is the size of the housing, you can't see the rear bearing. Every other engine I've seen only has about half a counter balance weight. I do need a connecting rod as the one I have that fits is physically about half the size of the Picco one. This engine is built to last, and built strong. Too bad it needs to rev high to make it's power or I would keep it. If I can't find the connecting rod I will list it as a parts engine for sale. Unless someone wants it now, before I fix it. Cheers Floyd
