Re: Align 3GX system question

Hi,

Sorry to but in from Orkney rather than Canada, but hey, half the Hudsons Bay company guys were recruited in Stromness here in Orkney where the ships last took on water & supplies before heading across the pond to Canada, so I guess i NEARLY count as Canadian .. any my son hopes soon to emigrate to Canada as well. Plus I'm a long standing Blue Jays fan (how sad is that !!)

ANYWAY .. the Align 3G and 3GX only have two pots, one for 'Aileron' sensitivity, and the other for Elevator. Rudder sensitivity is set usually from the transmitter GYRO channel, or can be set during the Gyro setup procedure (described in the manual, press & hold setup button for 2 secs enters Gyro setup mode). Basically the Gyro setup is the same as per most other Align Gyros and is dead easyand is distinct from the flight stabilisation setup (the 3g and 3GX units can be used just as a very expensive gyro !).

The tricky part of the 3G and 3GX setup is having enough spare hands to enter the Flight Stabilisation (as opposed to Gyro) setup mode where you have to hold in the setup button whilst connecting the Power to the receiver. Thats at least 3 hands !! What idiot designed that then !!

The PC connector and software is worth having too , gives access to lots of configuration settings and shows on scrfeen all your settings, including the Gyro setup.
