Its not RC but I'm sure most of you guys who have landed an RC Deadstick will appreciate the level of skill needed to get a full scale down safely.

Would be old hat for glider pilots (basically always dead stick).

It never ceases to amaze me at the number of folks(some of them are in this hobby too) that think an engine out means automatic disaster. Air, wings & gravity are what support a plane, not the engine! Loss of power just limits flight time & landing field options. Therein lies the dilemma with full scale birds!

Full scale glider pilots are quite comfortable with planning for dead stick landings making them superior power pilots. Same thing applies to our hobby in my opinion.
