What would be the best for masking on iron on covering? I tried the new "FrogTape" painters tape (http://www.frogtape.com) that claims to be the best for preventing bleeding and in my case it bled more than the regular blue painters tape!

Thats some interesting stuff that Frog Tape. But you have to remember its only activated when the water in the latex comes in contact with it, and even then, the active ingredient is only on the side of the tape. If you cut the tape into say... compound curves, the tape becomes no better than regular green tape. If you wernt using Latex or acylics, I can see why it wouldnt work. Id love to try it when Its time to paint my living room

When ever I want a really sharp line, I use just regular frosted scotch tape. If I need to mask nice curves and such, I will lay a 3' strip down and with a large straight edge, cut a 1/16 strip off and use it as pinstrip. The thinner you cut it. The more control you will have over it.

Re: Krylon Fusion or ???? for iron on covering?

if you guys really want fine lines try some good 3m electrical tape
only talking from 12 + years of painting and that frog tape is a joke
you also might wanna try laying a coat of clear down before you do your color
it seals the tape seam and then the color dont bleed !

Precisely ... coat of clear after you mask with the tape ... hat only the clear may bleed (not an issue)

Yes the last two coats were gloss, However the exact same effect can be made with just regular base paint.
