I am in the market to buy a monster truck but don't know what to buy-they all make fabulous claims to be the best. I need your HELP.
Tell me what you would buy if it were you BUT if you have one now you cani't pick it. I think this will make your decision more unbiased. But do tell me what you now own.

Thanks in advance!

Les

P.S.: I want it to bash with and to possibly race it in the future.

I have a GS Racing SUT RTR.. truggy..

I would choose a truggy cause they are simple to work on.. the t-maxx is a good truck.. but there are like 20 little gears inside a gearbox.. and thats a pain.. that is why i got a truggy.. so simple to tune.. etc.. all trucks have there downfalls.. truggy is my choice.. hot bodies.. gs racing.. mugen is making one..

hey

Since I have a buggy, the next nitro will be a Mt and the top three in my book are (IN this order)

1.Monster GT
2.Savage 4.6
3.Losi LST

(this will probably not be until a year or so)

nitro truck

hey XR2,

One thing you must look at is, what trucks your local hobby shop support. Meaning which ones do they have alot of part for. I dont have a truck yet but my next project is going to be a truck, personally i have seen alot of the savage and i really like them, plus i will be able to get alot of support from friends whom already have savages, but i also like the Losi LST that thing is huge. just my 2 cents

My pick would be the new savvy 4.6. I have an LST, and elieve me...if I was allowed to pick it would be the one, but Yup, I'm biased.

My group regularly runs an MGT, Savage 25, TMaxx, and the LST, and really the only one I wouldn't pick is the TMaxx. Not because of anything other than the way we run the trucks and breakage. It is pretty damn fast, but My LST does run circles around them all.

Of the other three...I'd pick the Savage because of the rediculous amount of aftermarket support and the fact that there is a brand new one out now. In terms of bashing, it's hands down the toughest truck, and as far as racing goes, there are TVP's that you can get with a lower CG more suitable to racing. Slap a couple pairs of low pro bowties and yer laughing too (maybe)

My two cents...hopefully its worth at least that much.

Want to thank all who replyed. Am leaning towards LST or Sav SS.
LST seems like great truck but I think I would prefer a kit. What does the Savage SS kit not have that I would have to buy extra?

if you get the get an SS make sure its the 4.6... the only thing you uneed if you get that kit is a reciever pack and charger, glow ignitor, fuel, and radio gear (3 channel if end up getting the reverse module).
