lTypes servos to be used as Flap servo!..

I like to know what type of servos are currently available to be adapted for my Flap use. These have to turn 180 degress with option of stopping the motion at any stage of travel and torque of 100oz or more.

Re: Sail servos

If you buy your servos from servo city you can ask them to modify just about any servo to do this. Or if you use a hitec digital servo it can be done with their programmer.

Well i won't be using any types of digital servos on this model due to there instantaneous action speeds, non-digital servo would be fine for my application. When you said modify any servos you meant by any super high torque servo as its needed in my application ie: 100oz-150oz torque..or just any regular servo.

program your transmitter to slow the servos down

How did you determine the torque required? Servocalc? (is that the name?)

Well look at the size of the flaps on the model and the wing area they increase plus all the air pressure on them. I will definitely will be needing super hi torque servo to move the flap in and out.

Re: Sail servos

If you got to this page. Right next to the button that you click to add it to your cart there is a drop down menu where you can select either 90, 180, or continuous rotation.

Re: Sail servos

It is the same for every servo on their site.

Sounds accurate.

Servocalc uses speed, length, chord, angle of attack
