Skymaster F-15/F-18

Hi John

Saw both of them fly over the weekend. Both flew very well. The F-15 flew very well on the SimJet 1700 installed, and should fly well with your P-80. The F-18 flew like it was on rails with the P120 installed. Will probably fly a little better with a couple pounds more thrust though. Looking forward to getting a F-18 when they are available.

Hi John

I spent some time with the boys from Hawaii and the F15. I was very, very impressed by the quality and level of pre - construction. The glass work was excellent - on par with the new Yellow fibreglass quality and the paint was exceptional ( solid coverage, crisp, even lines etc ). The scale detail the fuse and wings was oustanding and even the vents, light covers were doen properly. Some serious time was spent in designing this aircraft. All up weight powered by a P80 should be around the 17 - 18 lb mark. The F15 is slightly smaller than the Avonds model but everything internally looked like it should belong. The dual fuse tanks are nicely tucked into the wing cavities which allows for plenty of maintenance room. The doors are premolded and cut out in advance for a perfect fit. The retracts appeared quite solid and the struts were well made. I saw two versions fly. One with our PST J600R ( 14 lbs ) and the second with a Simjet. Both performed well with the bifurcated pipe....your P80 would be a great choice. Overall I was very impressed. The price is also very, very good. i think they will sell a lot of them!

Dean
