Picked one up last week.

Fun indoor flyer. Much faster and way more agile than the CX2 or MCX. Crazy piroetes on high rates!

Bought the BNF one, and it came with two batt's and the multi port charger, nice touch!

Re: Blade MSR

Thinking of getting one myself but I'm invovled in too many projects right now. Might get one for the winter but right now want to focus on things I can do outside.

Re: Blade MSR

Hi,

how do you think it compares to the Walkera 4#3b? Controlability? Power? anything else you can think of...?

Thanks

Re: Blade MSR

Never flown a Walkera, so can't say.

There are lots of reviews on RCG, as well.

I have flown both. the walkera is a real challenge to fly. the MSR is much easier and is very stable in the hover. amazing really, hovers just like the mcx.

flying around out of the hover they are very similar, both go like stink, except that with the msr if you get in trouble just letting go of the sticks will see it settle back into a hover. hard to believe unless you see it. of course this means that your flying area must be large enough to allow this to happen before hitting something.

the walkera will not stabilize if you get into trouble.

Both have about the same power and control response.

as for crashing.... the MSR is very very durable and takes some serious banging around without breaking. Mind you, nothing is unbreakable, but this little heli comes close.

the walkera is also quite durable but not quite up to the MSR in this regard.

Re: Blade MSR

astrofler, thanks for the great response. I have a Walkera and it flies okay, but it is a handful. And you are right, you could never "let go of the controls" of the 4#3b!! It is durable though....

I may have to look at the MSR!!!

Thanks again,

BB

Re: Blade MSR

I just wish it were a bit less expensive, say $130 instead of $170 for the BNF version. It's a question of value for me.

I already have a 4#3 and it's a handful.

I'm going to stick with the 250 for indoor (gym) for now.

Re: Blade MSR

Ok i just got to put a pack though it at lunch time.... once it's trimmed it flies hands off, but your living room is not a good choice for this. Even on low rates it moves.... quick!!! It is a very stable platform and coming from someone who hase only ever flown an MCX i had no problem controlling it. Once i get comfortable enough to switch it to high rates i will be flying outside only or in a gym..... It sounds, and looks cool, this in my mind will revolutionize the R/C helicopter industry because if they can do it micro what's stopping them for using this type of head on a Blade 400 or other companies like Align putting it into their T-rex's. Next up will be a 3D chopper that hovers like this!!

Geoff

p.s. you can easily putter around with it slowly and letting go of the sticks brings it to a hover in no time. I'm betting there will be a lot of MCX's for sale in the next while!!!

Re: Blade MSR

I have an mcx that comes with an e-flite lp5dsm TX with Spektrum 2.4 GHz technology and has a little dsm2 on the right side. Will this radio work with the bnf Blade MSR? Thanks to all who resond and second opinions are welcome
