Not bad for stock exhaust .I though the same thing with the vid of the 120 . do you really think they need tuned exhaust when they run that good already. unless of course you have strict noise restrictions . Niel sure can fly can't he .

Or unless you don't want an obnoxious, poor performing, flying chainsaw, LOL!!

Roger... once you go tuned pipe (with properly set-up headers ), you'll never look back

I will lend you guys a set of pipes to test. The pipes are good, don't like the headers much so you should use your own headers. If you don't have extra headers lying around for the 120 (Trev) I can send up a set
Engines are at dhl hongkong today so I will keep you guys in the loop!

Re: Eme 60

DHL HongKong!!!!!! That means you'll have them in 2 days tops

Lorne - we've got the headers. The pipes would be super cool to test, since we've got ES, MTW and KS pipes also!!

Re: Eme 60

Thanks Lorne,

That sound great

What do the pipes sell for?

If they generate good numbers, they could be a good alternative to the others

The pipes sell for $179 each so I am not sure if it is a good price or not

Trevor that's just down rite mean ,are you trying to give stock mufflers a bad name LOL. I under stand how tune pipes work, had to do lots of tuning on my Kart engines. By tuning your exhaust you can increase the engines potential and power by increasing is efficiency at a "given RPM".There is a lot to consider when using pipes, to even know what type of pipe you should start with you need to know port angle, timing, size, shape, % of squish band, reed block angle compression ratio, timing is also a huge factor because it changes the speed & time of the exhaust pulses , you need to evaluate the type of engine first before choosing a pipe design. also not just header length affects the pipe but the header shape ,diameter ,stinger length. engine rotation and it's effect on cylinder charge, and a million other factors.Regardless of all that the problem is anytime you set up a engine on a pipe regardless of where you set the pipe to increase that power you create a greater gap between when the pipe is actually helping to generate power and when it's not . I find without the pipes you may lose a bit of power but only at that point of the RPM where the pipe would have been tuned ,what you gain is a flatter wider power curve . and you get to save a couple of LBS in pluming . cheers Roger
