So I flew my Falcon 50 that I picked up slightly used,for the first time today.Acually my friend the better pilot did,till the clutch stopped working.Dropped the motor and found some side to side play,in the liner bell,and .5mm movement up and down on the shoe race.broke it down and noticed a grindy feeling in the upper bearing,like its toast.The liner is oval still and measures 37.2mm the shoe measures37mm,both look usable still.Is this up and down movement normal or does the race on the shoe need to be ground down by the .5mm.or are these parts totally defective,and needing replacement?..............here's some pics..........

Loctite the bearings on the clutch with sleeve retainer. The liner should be round, remove and replace it. The clearance should be about .010" between the shoe and the liner or .020" difference in clutch OD and liner ID. The bearing should be smooth. If you remove the outer race from the clutch assembly then it becomes smooth then the fit of the bearing in the clutch bell could be too tight causing bearing distortion.
