Ha ha!! Just caught up here!!

First step will be to gutt the entire plane and reinforce a bunch of critical areas with CF / epoxy. All servos will be pulled and mounts reinforced and the LG mounts will also be strengthened. I'll then tear out all the Chinese air line and put in good Festo stuff.

Lotsa goodies on order like twin CAT's, etc

The landing gear is also going off to Peter to be painted white!!

Double check the nacelle to fuse joint area. View a current rcu thread highlighting this potential weak spot on the SM A-10. Awesome project!
There is one locally that is very impressive with lights and ordnance etc.

Absolutely Sean... That is one of the areas I will reinforce. You can see on Sandros the gap in the area where it was just filled with Hysol.

Re: Skymaster A10 / Twin Cheetahs

Was just going to mention the same thing as Shane. Mike Lesher almost lost his brand new Skymaster A10 on the maiden flight at Georgia Jets when the carry through nacelle formers broke. And that was without doing any radical maneuvers. Mike managed to get the jet back on the runway without further damage. BV was there and had a look. His first words were something along the lines of "Damned Chinese manufacturing..." Apparently the carry through formers don't, they are butt glued to the fuse formers. You might want to check with BVM, as my understanding is that they will be releasing a fix/upgrade for that issue.

Re: Skymaster A10 / Twin Cheetahs

WOW!

I wish I could fund the engines for such a project or even be in the GTA to witness such a beast fly.

Good luck Trevor and hopefully this aircraft will fare the test of time better than what the USAF is doing to its Hawgs now!
