Nice pics by all. I have an old sterling spit that is framed with retract that just needs the bottom o the wing sheeted. Does anyone have some pointers about this plane. Good/Bad. all are welcome. I will be painting it next fall as I have enough projects to keep me busy till then.

I would be very careful about the wing incidence on the Sterling Spit. This airplane was designed to fly on reeds, remember them, and low power. It had lots of positive on the wing. Change this to 2 degrees with 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 degrees positive on the stab and you will have a nice flying airplane.
