Not to hijack a thread, but what would you ballpark your average wood costs at on an average .40 size plane?

My husband has never heard of Don Wilson, and imports most of his balsa from the US. He dosen't like doing that, but Canadian prices can't compete, and he saves hundreds buying Tower Balsa.

He shop's around for his select balsa, and that could be from companies like SIG, Mid West, Hobby Wholesale, Great Hobbies, and Balsa USA. He's bought from them all, and more.

According to him, most of a plane can be built with the cheap balsa, and you only need select for certain areas such as spar's and longerons.

This guy just put in an order for over 400 schmucks; he say's he think's prices will be going up drastically.
