Re: help with erevo

I do'nt think the Revo ever came with a two speed transmision, although a two speed from a Summit will drop right in. Does your car have a servo installed to shift between the two speeds? Does it have a brushles motor/esc?
I have the 1/10 E-revo brushless edition and I only run it on 4s lipo. Other than breaking several drive shafts it has been pretty reliable. I now have Summit shafts installed as they are supposed to be able to withstand the power of the Mamba system much better.
The car is pretty reliable as is, but your driving style will dictate how long it will last before repairs are needed.

Re: help with erevo

The nitro revo came with a 2 speed I believe. Generally electric cars don't need two speed gearboxes because they have so much torque at low RPM. If you wanted something like the summit which has a SUPER low gear for crawling and a higher gear for general running, then what 'thuebner' said is what you need.

Re: help with erevo

Mine has
a servo to shift gears. I've never had a two speed and the transmitter I got with It is only two channel, I'm guessing I need a third channel to shift?

Re: help with erevo

Yep, and yep... definitely sounds like a summit transmission, and yes you need 3 channels.
