Re: Tamiya bigwig.
Hi Dustin,
Welcome to RCC. Unfortunately, parts are pretty specific to the car/truck/buggy except for things like shocks, wheels.. etc. Driveline and chassis parts are especially. ebay will probably be your best bet.

Re: Tamiya bigwig.
A lot of parts are universal ,speed controls , motors etc. The harder to find parts that are specific to the bigwig will be the issue. A lower control arm for example.
That said i keep getting told most (90%) of Tamiya parts are still available but take forever to get. A 2s lipo is basically a direct replacement for any 7.2v stick pack. The issue is there will be no low voltage cut off with the stock speed control. It may even be a mechanical speed control?? So if you dont add a LVC you can easily overdischarge and wreck the battery pak.

Re: Tamiya bigwig.
Any of the electronics can be replaced along with common parts like I mentioned. It's the chassis parts that can't be shared. It's kind of like with a real car, you can get tons of tires/wheels that can be used with many different cars but a body panel, dashboard... etc. are specific to that car.

Re: Tamiya bigwig.
I'm not positive, but I think it shares quite a few parts with the Boomerang, which was re-released and should be very easy to find parts for.
