Thanks Sean

The motor i have in there is a 19t trinity komodo dragon.http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMDY8&P=ML

I just bought a couple Intellect 4200's for it also. It does have great speed and take off too. I only have a 20t pinion in there and theres no heat on the motor or esc after a battery pack. Mike (mgrmek) set the car up for me, and did a great job. I just need to learn how to handle the power better. PS sorry to everyone i hit while racing! It wasnt intentional

My son is running a 19 turn in his truck. Quite a few others are as well.
Some brushless as well.

Do you mean 2wd buggy ?? If so....

Proline Bowties - good all around tire, tread wear-good
Proline Evil Twin- good for when track is swept, tread wear-good
Proline Holeshots- good for when track is swept, tread wear-medium
Proline Steppins- good for loose dirt, tread wear, good to medium
Losi Bigshots- good for swept and unswept track, tread wear-fast

Those are the tires I have used, or have seen the results of their use.
Cheers

I'm running a 19 turn single in my truck. Tires are Proline Snake Eyes rear and Proline mini pin in front.

Your going to want to keep the Komodo geared lower... it is an RPM motor and suffers a little in the low end department. Great for 2wd - however, I would stay away from it for 4wd cars. You also want to make sure you keep it cool - once the motor overheats a couple times, it loses a great amount of it performance since the magenets become "worn-out".

Great motor - as long as you keep it well maintained.

Overpowered?

Geez... I think im a litte over powered. During Dirt Storm I was running a 11T Double in my T3. I did finish 1st, however I only beat the next guy by a little over 2 seconds. The next guy was only 8 seconds behind. Motor does play a role but not a significant role at this track. Keeping it on all fours is really the best way to win races.
