I purchased the whole kit from Thunderbolt. 50' roll of silicone 22gauge twisted wire, Crimp tool, male and female connectors. I figure after I made the couple dozen leads or so that I paid for the total purchase. The rest are basically free.

Their crimp tool is the best I have seen. Saw one at the LHS that was so light and flimsey comparratively and cost more. Has proved to be a great investment especially since you can make custom sized leads that fit the job perfectly. You definitely won't be disappointed in dealing with Thunderbolt. They are great folks, especially Jeff, to deal with!

Re: A source for connectors?

Gary made a good comment on the crimpers. I have several different types of crimp pliers which I have used or lent to friends when they are doing phone or cable changes. My crimp pliers for doing RC will do also several othe types which are similar to what we use as will most of them. The comment I will make is don't scrimp on a tool purchase when it comes down to quality. The cheaper tools you will find are not up to snuff and they knick or do some other things.

Re: A source for connectors?

Thank you all for the suggestions. Just received my order from ThunderboltRC. Excellent service , including a phone call from Jeff to clear up an uncertainty about my order and a quick service of my order. Have bookmarked Thunderbolt and will be dealing with them again.
