Re: F-100

That was impressive. He must have a good gap and cooling airflow between the tailpipe and foam. Now we have a new turbine class called "fo-bine" .

If you look closely, you will see the tail cone sticks a long way out the rear of the plane. Any how thats not what I had in mind. I want to make mine a plug and the then make molds. All I would have to do is Sheet the wings and the elevator and presto!

Re: F-100

I managed to fit the retracts tonights. I cant say enough about them. Very strong metal mechanism. I had to mod the wing to except the larger gear. I then add 1/4 ply and counter sunk them so there flush with the surface. Now I remember why building has slowed down.. Im out of servo's.. Come on KING!!!

Re: F-100

I just cant beleive how many wires i have to thread on this plane. It is however my first time useing Electric retracts(2 wires) and lights(3 wires) and I added a rudder(1 wire) all this ontop of the normal wireing to make it fly. I had intended on flying it on 8s for speed, but now it looks like its 8s just to get it in the air.

In honor of JC for putting on the Electric Jet Rally. I went and bought a Cowboy hat to were as my new flying hat. I think ALL that are attending the Jet ralley should were one.lol
Picked this up from Princess Auto for $24 The lady at the counter says its an exact replica of JC's and even has his autograph on it somewere. I havent found it.. Hope I didnt get duped

Re: F-100

Yee Haaaw Trevor. Ride that Hun! Speaking of Huns, here is the maiden flight of the turbine powered FlyFly F-100. His turbine is mounted right in the end, no pipe needed. He had a flame out in the end but looks like just the gear were damaged.

Re: F-100

I would say he had his hand full. First thing was he lost something on the take off run and then on the finall pass you can see his gear hanging off and to top it off with a flame out! Im realy surprised AND Happy that it didnt break open like an egg.

I on the other hand we have 3 Green!! She's on her feet. yaah.. Just a litle more wiring to solder up and then figure out if I need a 14chnl rx for all this

Still have to add hinges to the ailerons but I did manage to thin the trailing edges on the tail planes. Will for sure be thining the trailing edges on the wings.
