I put the white stick on covering on the firewall for easy clean up.
I’ll hang the plane and run the epoxy on the edges later on tonight.
Engine box looks strong and solid but I just like to make sure. Specially that most of these planes build tail heavy so I would need to add weight to the nose anyway.

Re: Peak Models Edge 540

I found few minutes of free time so I’ll get the rudder done.
Cable pull pull set up is under construction.

Re: Peak Models Edge 540

It’s all done now.
Well at least the ruder.
Originally I thought that those ball link arms with the hex on the end were a nice touch.
Not so much. Just after I got it all ready I notice that it’s almost impossible to put the screws through them when the cables are tight.
Lucky there were few extra standard arms so I just swap them.

Re: Peak Models Edge 540

Ignition mounted on the right side of the engine box.
I cut two small openings two inches apart to run the ignition power and cable ties through.

Well the things inside the fuselage are starting to look more like they should.

Re: Peak Models Edge 540

Decided to go with 20 x 6 prop.
Flown with 19 x 8 before and it was hard to slow down. Will see how this works out. :
My shop is a mess I need to take care of it ASAP but first I got to finish the plane

Re: Peak Models Edge 540

I was pleasantly surprised to see how well this Edge balanced.
With the batteries all the way up to the front there was no need for additional weight up on the motor box.

Check this out. This season you won’t have to ask me.
I’ll put the cowl on right now. Otherwise it may never leave my shop.
