Re: Gee Bee Y

I'm curious as to how it will pan out for you as well Grant . I have the same plane and was thinking about using the CRRC 26 in it as well . I'm currently using the engine in a CMP Extra 300 which weighs in at 13.5 lbs. dry , and i'm happy with it's performance using a 17x6 Xoar prop @ 9,000 rpm. It will go vertical a long ways before it runs out of steam , so it should be a good match for the Gee-Bee . What is the dry weight of your Gee-Bee , and are you planning on getting the maiden on video ?

Re: Gee Bee Y

Grant , have you had a chance to weigh the airplane yet ? Did you need to add any weight to balance , where do you have the CG set at ?
