Throttle Hold Pitch Settings
I was wondering what is the best way to set up my throttle hold pitch settings? I have always attempted autos in normal mode, and that is how I have my throttle hold pitch settings at the moment. I have it set up this way because almost all of my attempts I abort and go around. I had 2 flame outs this summer and both times I landed in idle up 2 mode. My pitch settings in idle up 2 are + and - 10 and mid stick is 0. It seemed much easier to land this way.I
am concerned about coming out of throttle hold into idle up 2 mode because of the strain on everything going from idle to 85% or more throttle. Any tips would be appreciated. Mark |

Re: Throttle Hold Pitch Settings
Good idea. By making all my pitch settings the same that takes away any confusion on where I should have the stick positioned. In this case I am using a nitro helicopter, and my radio is a JR 9303. Is there a way I can delay the throttle when coming out of throttle hold for a go around? I know on an electric helicopter you can program soft start into the esc, and I've seen guys on videos come out of throttle hold right into idle up 2. It takes about 3 or 4 seconds for the head to spool up.
Thanks for the tip. |

Re: Throttle Hold Pitch Settings
As far as I know you can set a delay in the JR 9303. I'm honestly not sure how, but I know of a few people who use it.
