FOR SALE: Anderson Kingfisher Kit (1/4 scale)

I've always wanted to build/fly one of these beauties, but reality has set-in and I know I won't get to it any time soon. This is the 1/4 scale version of the Anderson Kingfisher Float Plane, modified by the "Kingfisher Master" himself, Tim Nolan, out of Australia. He was kind enough to produce & ship this kit before he traveled from Australia in 2015 to the Salmon Arm Float-Fly held in British Columbia. What you will receive is as follows:

-Vacuum bagged epoxy fuselage (sandwich construction) in grey primer, with carbon fiber reinforcements in key structural areas added in the mold!
-molded fiberglass front hatch access cover.
-molded fiberglass engine cowl & nacelle.
-cut to shape foam tip floats.
-laser cut wing ribs, engine center section and firewalls etc.
-machined aluminum strut ends and strut tubing.
-partially formed material for the metal spray rails.
-printed plans for wings & tail surfaces.
-flash stick with hundreds of construction photos & building notes.

Local pick-up is strongly encouraged, as this is a large box for shipping! The fiberglass fuselage alone is approx. 66.0 L x 11.0 W x 20.0 OH! Kit will ship from Coaldale, AB T1M 1N4, with a box dimension of 72.0 x 14.0x 24.0 and approximate weight of 25.0 lbs. at buyer's expense.

If you prefer to use Pay Pal, add 3% for their fees.

He bought over a 1/3 kit for me last Sept. I flew it for the first time in June at Shuswap.
Saito 57 gas twin.

Do you know of anyone who could bring your 1/4 kit to Shuswap for the float fly after Labour day? If so I will take it.

Hi Dave,

Just had shoulder surgery, so not planning on attending this year's fly-in. Only suggestion I could make is possibly Greyhound to keep the shipping costs down? I remember how well the 1/3rd scale version that Tim brought over/flew, impressive both on the water and in the air!

I'll check with the local Greyhound station (there's on about 2 blocks from me) about shipping costs on Monday. (or perhaps you can check if there's one close to you.)

Local Greyhound depot is in Maple Ridge, B.C.

I know quite a few of the Alberta guys come to the float fly, but mainly from the Edmonton area. It would be nice if there was someone local to you that could bring it.

There is a jet event in Princeton in September and several people come from there Dave , check and post in the jet event section. Maybe throw some gas money at them

I believe Steven does live in Calgary, but Coaldale is east of Lethbridge, a fair distance out of his way.

I know. Just thought you might get it to Calgary cheap. Oh well.
(16+ year resident of Calgary Also going to Winnipeg from Blind Bay via Calgary 3rd week of Sept. so I was pondering if on the return........................)
