clear coat mate
hi guys,
as i'm close to finalize my scrach built plane, and because i need it flat finish, i was wondering if anybody knows something about KRYLON CLEAR MATE.actualy, what i want to know, is if it's fuel proof or not.i have some doubts about it, because it says on the can that is " formulated from latex technology". if not what can i use as a clear flat coat, other than lustrecote, which is not available at LHS. thanks |

Krylon matte isn't fuel proof to my knowledge...You can use Varathane Professional Clear finish-made by Flecto . Not sure if you can get Flat, but the "Clear Satin" I have gives a great scale finish:flat, with a LITTLE bit of shine. Check it out-it's totally fuel proof and it comes in spray cans.
