When you can, venture into larger helicopters, they will advance your ability and confidence MUCH quicker then small helis that's for sure.

Re: CopterX flyers

I have two CopterX 450's and I really like them. I would never have spent the money when beginning to fly on an Align. Now that I have become comfortable I would spend more but they were great for building confidence. Spend the money on good equipment, digital servos, good HH gyro and good batteries and spend the time to set it up well. The money saved on the chopper can go into your Pro later on.

Prices will be basically the same but in Cdn funds. Regular Canada Post prices. Think they will be up and running in January. They have no plans on advertising but by word of mouth, since they want to keep the prices the same as ehirobo's with no mark-up. Packaging will be kept to a minimal.
I have a feeling they are going to be swamped with customers.
Hi All

I to would be interested in a new Canadian CopterX sorce as well, with Greg and Shane closing up Rotortech it would be nice to keep my $ and shipping in Canada if possible.......EH. I am starting to get more into scare-o -baitic and just had my first real prang this weekend, so a close parts supply would be nice.

My Blog with CopterX photo.

Re: CopterX flyers

Is there really that much demand for CopterX here?

It's tough to compete with overseas pricing - it's one of the reasons Greg & Shane are getting out. I bought up their entire remaining Gaui 200 stock last week for my store.

I just haven't heard enough good things about CopterX to consider carrying them ...

Re: CopterX flyers

Hmmmmmm....you'd be surprised if you considered carrying the parts. As long as you keep the prices the same as overseas pricing that is.

Re: CopterX flyers

I got a Copterx 450 Pro v3 RTF and I love it. To start off and feel safe it was the best buy for me especially since Im a newbie in 3D helis.I just ordered a Align 500 ESP Superior Combo, from what I have seen on my CX vs others the clones the ,CX is a good choice when it comes to clones. So far the best clone I have seen is the Tarot which is really nice.

I almost bought the Tarot but the price difference once you put the electronics just wasnt worth it so I opted for the Align T-Rex 500 and the price was incredibly low here in Canada.

I order the parts from China Because out of all the orders I made they get to me within 7-10 days max, and 2 orders got to me in 5 days that I was very surprised with.
Only one order was very late due to HK post and the Chinese New Year.

Re: CopterX flyers

Sorry....what I should have said was: I would only stock the CopterX 450 series parts.

Re: CopterX flyers

I will look into it and see what is involved.

It's hard though, because the Gaui 425 is so reasonably priced ... I'm not overly keen on overlapping product, but if there's demand ...

Re: CopterX flyers

Here is the deal with CopterX. When Greg and I opened our doors we could get CopterX into Calgary, be priced the same as the overseas guys and still make a buck. The money wasn't huge but it was enough to keep our little store alive. Then HK hit the scene and took the pricing of clone kits as low as they possibly could. Then Ehirobo was losing market share and dropped all their pricing to compete with HK. To this day on certain items my dealer net is higher than Ehirobo list price. That's the CopterX story in a nutshell. I could go on with what happened with Esky but I won't go there!
Jeff I wish you the best of luck with your store, in fact once I run out of Gaui goodies for my fleet you'll get my support!
