They were in a 1/5 scale Spitfire and have a typical 95 deg opening angle.
(to compensate for the dihedral as I expect you know)

Note: the strut and wheel rotate away from the cylinder when going up, not toward (and over it when up) as in some types.

I will try to add another pic to illustrate.
