I feel your pain, I am setting up full house e-glider on 9503 and some programing limits make no sense at all. This is the last I saw about Graupner
http://translate.google.com/translat...d%2C76315.html

Currently I think one of the most technologically advanced and 100% assignable radio is this one from Czech republic, Jeti Duplex, now licensed in North America.

I get a 404 with your translate link.

I have been browsing the Jeti stuff too. Tx is a bit pricier? But Rx looks like decent price.

Will have to do lots of research but I predict a new radio in the spring and a Wholesale Spek Sale thread.

Re: JR DMSS and why I switched

Ok, try this one from this discussion, that same link, here it works

https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/showthread.php?t=191155

I picked up the 9503 just to wait and see what is coming up in radios, I looked at DX18 but was not convinced yet.

Yeah, that worked. Will have to bookmark that newspaper site and check back from time to time.

Re: JR DMSS and why I switched

Graupner may be in financial trouble but they just came out with a new 8ch Rx. The price seems very good for what you are getting. I am really impressed with the telemetry that comes with the MC20 HOTT system. This Rx comes with built in voltage, temperature, and signal strength and quality. This is available in both audio and video on the Tx. Switching to the RF signal screen shows the strength and quality of the 2.4 signal. It show interference coming from other systems.

The Rx is very small the end with the connectors being six on top and two underneath occupying one end.

I read that a lot of the financial trouble is due to the amount of money the poured into the HOTT system from SJ.

Seventy-four dollars seems reasonable to me for what one is getting.

Will wait and see what happens but I for one am very impressed with my MC20 system.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I got from the article. If it pays off for them they should be in good shape.

Can't imagine how ticked that fellow would be. Hard to believe Jeti didn't catch this before selling them to the public.

Yeah, that's a lot of coin to re-kit.

Aren't most of the sticks I have seen in other radios solid?

Re: JR DMSS and why I switched

Don't you think the radios are all pretty close now .I think choosing a system type is more about personal preference today then anything eles ,bells and whistles claiming to make a system far superior to another dosent wash with me ,they are all pretty good. the introduction of 2.4/ model-match /and powersafe receivers are about the only significant functional changes in the past 20 years IMO.I use a JR12x DSMX but I am sure I would be just as happy with any of the top radios today.I just think it's wonderful having so many good choices . I can't imagine that the DMSS would be less effective then any of the other top systems on the market, time will tell. funny it's just like my motorcycle (1992 vfr750F )from 1970 to 1992 there was a huge jump in thechology but from 1992 to today there has been very little change they just added a few whistles because they were already about as good as they could get in 1992. the way I see it 2.4 is here, it's proven solid, choose the one that fits your needs . To me better is one that more closely suits my needs they all work well.Roger
