The BEST/MOST POWERFUL engin?

I have been into RC since the late eightys, only to run on my first track two weekends ago...now I want to get serious with this racing thing. I would be running Truggies and Buggies. I am wondering what is the best .21 racing engin out there today?

I really like my OS VG .21 that has been modded by Powerhouse mods. It has huge power and is still reliable. I run it in my truggy and it's great. If you just gear it down a little it'll have enough torque and great top end

very pleased with my STS D28M for the price, great torque and not a bad top end. I'm running a 13T though so I know It's got more.

Dude the list of engines available is endless, thus your gonna get many opinions here. For starters go to the local race and see which engines work on the track. RB, OS, Ninja, Werks, Picco, Nova, Axe, take your pick.

How many gallon of fuel did you use? I read on many forums that after 1 or 2 gallon, they loose their compression, their new 'Advanced Bi-Metallic Liner' is not up to the job

For any of the engines mentionned above (I'm mostly interested in the RB C6), how many tanks of fuel can we expect before having to change the piston/sleeve?

The veeeery minimum an RB or Novarossi, Ninja etc, should last is 3 gallons. I've heard of Axe Rossis LSKs going to 12 gallons, I put at least 5 gallons through my RB Concepts C6 until I blew it up and it was my fault. It was still a rocketship with tonnes of compression right up until its untimely death. Goodness I miss that engine!!! The C6 just ROCKS! Nothing beats it and very few engines even come close.

The big thing with the new race engines isn't the piston/sleeve/rods it's the freakin bearings! It seems the bearings don't last as long as they did like 2 years ago. Even Novarossi and RB has had some issues recently.

But if you get a good engine and treat it right, you should get 5-8 gallons or more of 30% with a minimum of 3 gallons.

Try the Novarossi 21BF. $179 USD and it makes all the power you'll ever need. Martin Petre runs them and he loves them. It's gonna be my next engine I think. That and maybe a Max Power M8 and a Novarossi 21+7BT I love these little nitro engines!

regards

Iv seen that axial .28s are good. but i ahvnt seen many .21s the is deffenetly a axial .21 to. Really good engines for low cost.like others have said treat it right break it in and tune properly.

YA I guess it doesn't really matter what engin you buy, it is how you mod it and maintain it eh?
