hey guys thanks for all the input i'am going to talk to town council and see what they say. I was thinking of maybe at the back of (every kids park) or behind the old water tower , there is already bike trails and some old bmx jumps . If anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them. We need a place to have some fun and iam sure there are lots of R/C junkies in and around orangeville.

If the track is to be nitro friendly you are pretty much looking at industrial land if it's in town due to the noise. Out of town might be a better option.....maybe the fairgrounds property?

The Fairgrounds would be really nice for both electric and nitro.

How can we get the ball rolling?

1. Do your homework.

Start by reading through some of the old threads on this site to get an idea of what you're up against.

Here's a good one to start with:

http://www.offroadrc.ca/showthread.php?t=15602

2. Do some "demos" at local events to get some public exposure and to gain support from local R/C'ers and more importantly the community in general.

Hopefully from there you can gauge whether going forward makes sense or not.

We should ask to do a demo at the upcoming Buskers Event on Broadway to guage public interest. Then we can go from there and see if we could sway council.
