Track Construction Saturday 28th

I have visited the track today and it's dry enough to start work. I know that rain is in the forecast, but as long as the rainfall remains moderate, the track should be able to absorb it. It's always a gamble, but I really want to get started this weekend.

If anyone wishes to come out to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Any contribution will certainly help move up the track's opening date. Bring basic gardening tools if you have them: shovels, rakes, and hoes are the utensils of choice. Make sure they are clearly marked for identification. If there is any other equipment, or expertise that can be of use...all the better. 3 of us will be there Saturday the 28th between 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. As in the past, volunteers are compensated with wristbands for a few free rounds at the track.
I estimate that 3 full days of work with a decent volunteer crew will get the track open. There are always variables, but this is my best estimate based on last year's construction.

We will be monitoring the weather closely. If we have to cancel the work day and re-schedule it, we will post it the evening before, so check in on the forums regularly. See you there!

Too bad about the weather delaying this or I would have helped out...just had surgery last Friday so there is not heavy work for me for a couple of weeks

Good luck!

I'm already booked until about 1:30 on Saturday, but if I can sneak out a bit early I'll stop by for sure! If not, I may be free Sunday and am free all next weekend as well.

I've arranged for a generous donation of at least one pick-up full (we could try our luck with a u-haul).

only catch is I don't have a truck and it will need to be picked up in Holland Landing/Bradford.

Powers that be: hit me back if you're interested.

Regrettably tomorrow's build will have to be canceled due to the forecast and the current track conditions. I will post up the next available work opportunity.

This is our current condition as of this morningAttachment 8083

Yes, its been a very frustrating start to the season. We just have to persevere, and when its done and finished I will forget all about the bad weather. I probably will go out this Thursday for the day and try and get something accomplished. I am hoping this weekend will finally come up aces weather wise and we can all get stuck in.
