How to Determine Cof G
I just bought a used Telemaster 70 and after installing receiver and doing what needed to be done, I was just wondering how you would figure out the C of G to balance it. I read somewhere that it should be 1/3 of the chord which would make it 4 inches from the LE. Any thoughts or suggestions. Also would anyone be able to suggest some numbers to start with for the throws on the control surfaces.
Thanks |

Re: How to Determine Cof G
Here's how I figure it out. This gives you a good start point, no guessing. The other alternative of course is borrow a set of plans. Here's the link ...

Re: How to Determine Cof G
CG is generally 25 to 30 percent of the wing chord. on a constant chord wing such as the telemaster it is easily measured.
I'd set it at 25 percent to start and adjust to the feel I liked. The telemaster is the all time best trainer design out there and about the only one with a flying stab. You'll love this airplane.
