Mugen Seiki MBX-6 Buggy

The Picture is a detail picture of the front end of the New Mugen Seiki Buggy the MBX6. Note that the suspension cups are very deep to make sure the spring stays in place. More news to come as we get it!

As you can see from the pictures its a completely new car with what look to be a hardened Aluminium part i.e. the main chassis, shock bodies etc. Diff-Outdrive cups appear to be lightened also.

As you can see the front drive shafts use a captured drive pin inside the bearing, please note the small grub screw which will allow you to tighten the drive shaft cup without pulling the whole drive train apart.

You can see in this picture that it appears the rear centre drive cup has some sort possibly rubber boot to protect the internal parts? Also to note the anti-roll bar mounts are angled for easier tuning from the side of the car. For protection of the rear end parts and to help keep unsprung weight down see rear mud guards

This is all there is right now. More to come. Later!

There are more changes than you can see. Smaller diffs, Big Bores , angled sway bar mounts and much more.

Buggy looks very good.

Both Scott Hughes and Vray have said the buggy is faster with just a 5R set-up on it. Vray was .5 sec a lap faster with just putting his 5R set-up on it for the first day. The worlds should prove to be interesting.

There are also some pics of Huges' MBX6 being built up and showing off the new Proline wide tires as well. I think it was on NeoBuggy.

looks like there isn't really much of a difference between the mb5r and the mbx6. I see allot of new parts on there that would great improve the life of the car(even though the life is just amazing on the mbx5r) and also reduce the weight carbon fiber shock towers. Personally i like the boots on the cvd's and the improvement on the radio box (i know that was on flaw on the mugen was the switch being on the bottom which would cause and sometimes turn the switch off.) Tekno.

Actually I prefered the switch on the side how it was before.. but this way it is more like everything else so people who aren't used to mugens can find it easier

Few things I noticed quick while glancing at the pics...
- Back to the 2 piece motor mounts... maybe there is a ProSpec or R version on it's way as well...
- Nut to adjust servo saver is back down at the bottom again...
- very different radio tray... LiPo's shouldn't be an issue now!
- New diffcases
- New suspension arms
- New shocks
- New shock towers
- New body mounting sytle
- New front carriers
- New servo saver top plate
- New way to mount the front upper arms.....

It really looks like a very different buggy! Very few parts seem like they will carry over! Wing mount, toe plates, sway bars, the rear brace mount that goes on the diff.... that's about it!

Looks like a nice vehicle. I had trouble with that stupid switch on my truggy last year. Nice to see they took the time to fix such an important thing. Nobody ever wants there buggy to turn off because of a switch.
